This rooftop apartment extension is designed with the precision of a ship’s interior, maximizing every inch of space. Every element has been thoughtfully placed, with even the areas beneath the staircase utilized for storage.
A double-height dormer window on the south side and a mezzanine at this window create a living area with an enhanced sense of openness and spatiality. The mezzanine features an organic design that harmonizes with the curved lines of the dormer, while the ascending slope of the dormer integrates seamlessly with the height variations of the adjacent buildings. The higher right side aligns with the taller neighboring structure, and the lower left side connects with the lower left neighbor.
The use of a carefully curated material palette—natural stone, raw white plaster, red copper, and wood—applied throughout the apartment creates a cohesive and serene atmosphere.
